Hallo.
Ich benutze einen Win 95 Recher mit Winroute und Zonealarm Pro als dedizierten Router. Nun wollte ich gerne mal wissen wie das NAT genau funktioniert und ob ein Proxy-Server wie Jana nicht vorteilhafter wäre. Wie verhält sich der Sicherheitsaspekt bei beiden Methoden bzw. die Geschwindigkeit. Soll ich auf Proxy umsteigen und wenn ja wie funktioniert dass mit Winroute?

Wie sicherer? Wingate hat zur Sicherheit eine eigene Firewall, aber Zone Alarm ist besser. Oder meinst Du stabiler? Weiß ich nicht, aber wie gesagt NAT ist einfach zu konfigurieren.
Fa. Deerfield vergleicht in Ihrer Online-Hilfe Proxy-Server, NAT und WGIC (Wingate Internet Client). WGIC ist bei mir auf den Clients aber nicht installiert:
