VMware untersützt nicht immer alle Kernel Versionen. Es kann sein das deine Kernel Version zu neu für VMware ist.
Ich kenne das von VMware Workstation und meiner Debian Distribution. Die Vorgänger Version von Ubuntu würde nicht funktionieren (oder zumindest eine ältere Kernel Version)?
Ich wüßte nicht was man da machen kann.
Lade mal die Workstation Version herunter.
Du mußt dir dann noch eine gültige Seriennummer besorgen und hast dann die Voll-Version.
Vielleicht ist in VMware Player irgendein Fehler oder die Kernel Version ist zu neu.
