Tastatur und maus funktionieren nicht unter ubuntu

hi,

ich hab folgendes problem: habe heute das update auf ubuntu 9.10 gemacht, seit dem reboot funktionieren aber weder die maus noch die tastatur. beides usb geräte, im windows und bios einwandfreie funktion. habe auch schon sämtliche usb ports durch probiert -> keine veränderung.
beide geräte haben strom, allerdings reagiert nicht mal mehr das numlock der tastatur, sobald ich die ubuntu distribution boote. :(

wäre über eine schnelle hilfe sehr dankbar. :)

Ich gebe dir mal meine /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Ich nutze aber eine dreitastige PS/2 Maus und eine PS/2 Tastatur.
Wenn diese Datei xorg.conf Datei nicht existiert, versucht der XServer die Hardware selbst zu erkennen. Und da scheint es ein Problem zu geben.
