DVD Brenner flashen Samsung Toshiba SN-S082H Slim !

Hallo,

ich habe mir für mein Notebook einen DVD Brenner gekauft das Modell TSST SN-S082H mit der Firmware SB00, nun läuft dieser auf secondary Master.
Daich nur einen IDE Kanal habe Primary, bräuchte ich das laufwerk als primary Slave.
Auf Samsungodd.com gibt es eine Firmware SH00 die das Laufwerk auf primary Slave flashen würde, funktioniert aber nicht da beim update das Laufwerk als nicht kompatibel erkannt wird.
Der Brenner hat kein DMA 2 sondern wird mit DMA 0 im Gerätemanager angezeigt.

Wie kann man dies lösen ?

Yes this is possible, and to do this you need a Slim drive --> IDE converter so that you can connect the drive to a normal desktop PC to install the firmware.
You will need to use the following instructions to update the firmware in Windows.
Unpack the attached file to C:\SN-S082H.
Now go to start and go to run and type CMD and press enter.
Now you are in the command prompt. In the command prompt type cd.. and then press ENTER, repeat this untill there’s only C:\ displayed.
Now type cd SN-S082H en press ENTER.
If everything is correct you can see the following text displayed in the command prompt: C:\SN-S082H>, now type sfdnwin –nocheck en press enter.
The SFDNWIN window will now apear.
Now click on the the blue icon and then select the firmware (SH00), after this click on the green icoon and the update proces will start.
After the update proces the PC will reboot.
BE VERY CAREFULL THAT YOU SELECT THE CORRECT DRIVE IN THE DROP DOWN MENU IN SFDNWIN!!!!!!!!!!
Also make sure that there aren’t any CD’s or DVD’s in the drive’s before you update, I also strongly recommend you to disable any virus scanner before you update the drive’s.
