Mal was für die Kenner hier .... hab mir nämlich schon vor einigen Monaten günstigst nen HP ScanJet 4c Scanner geschossen und jetzt, wo ich eh am Rumbasteln bin am PC, wollte ich den auch mal in Betrieb nehmen. Nur hat der, wie ich jetzt erst gesehen habe, eine SCSI-Karte mit ISA-Anschluss dabei *gg*
Okay, kein Thema ... leg ich mir halt noch ne SCSI-Karte für PCI zu. Bei eBay gibt es ja haufenweise Angebote für nen Euro, das lässt sich wohl verschmerzen.
Hab dann noch ein wenig mit Google rumgeforscht und folgenden Hinweis bekommen:

The extra speed would be wasted, and although it could be used for disks on the same bus, that\'s probably not a really great idea. And the "W" models have the added issue of wide-to-narrow cable headaches that cause a never-ending stream of "please help me" articles in netnews.

Also das mit dem "W" Zusatz bei den Adaptec PCI-Karten scheint ja Trubel nach sich zu ziehen, wieso auch immer (hab das nicht kapiert *gg*). Dann zieh ich mir halt ne Adaptec ohne jede weitere Bezeichnung, wenn das der richtige Weg sein soll.
ABER: Was ist das denn für ein Kabelunterschied, wer kann mich da mal aufklären ... und wo kann ich sowas kaufen? Oder gibt es eventuell sogar Adapterstecker??
