Ich habe ein Clevo (ehemals Kapok) 1300M Notebook. Nun habe ich versucht, mittels der Dateien von Clevo\'s Homepage ein BIOS-Update durchzuführen. Ich hab also mittels Win98-Boot-CD eine reine Eingabeaufforderung gebootet, und dann die fp.exe ausgeführt. Fehlermeldung: "4021.BIN file not found". Was denn nun??

1. On a Windows 9x/DOS system create a bootable floppy
at the command prompt type
- c:> format a: /q /s
2. Extract content of the archive to floppy
3. Restart the system
5. Follow instructions on the screen
6. After flash is complete press ENTER, the system will restart. (In case the system turns off, power up the system)
7. Press Alt-Ctrl-s to enter BIOS Setup
8. Press Alt-X (to enter Exit menu) and choose 'Default Settings' -> press ENTER
9. Press Alt-W (to enter Power menu) Change Power Settings to preferred configuration.*
10. Make appropriate changes to Disks settings **
11. Press F10 to Save changes and Exit.
Du solltest nur von einer DOS-Bootdiskette (mit den Update Dateien) flashen.
Außerdem dich genau an diese Anweisungen halten.
Clevo hat vor einiger Zeit alle Biosdateien (und mehr) von deren Server entfernt.
Etliche Vertreiber von Clevo NB's bieten die Updates aber glücklicherweise weiter an!
