Hallo! Ich habe mir eine neue IDE-Festplatte gekauft, auf Master gestellt und eingebaut (als einzige Festplatte). Sie wird vom BIOS nicht erkannt, ich kann jedoch im DOS-Modus darauf zugreifen. Sie lässt sich weder partitionieren noch formatieren ("No fixed discs present." bzw. "Format not supported on drive C: Format terminated.").
Mit Win98 Startdiskette kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:
Windows 98 has detected that drive C does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32 partition. There are several possible causes.
1. The drive may need to be partitioned. To create a partition on the drive, run FDISK from the MS-DOS command prompt. (Starte ich FDISK, heisst es "No fixed discs present.")
2. You may be using third-party disk-partitioning software. If you are using this type of software, remove the Emergency Boot Disk and restart your computer. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to start your computer from a floppy disk. (? Habe ich das nicht gerade?)
3. Some viruses also cause your drive C not to register. You can use a virus scanning program to check your computer for viruses. (? Ein Virus auf einer neuen Festplatte frisch aus OVP?)
Ich habe bereits fachkundige Leute aus meinem Umfeld gefragt, die konnten mir jedoch nicht weiterhelfen. Auch im Forum konnte ich keinen entsprechenden Beitrag finden.
