Ich höre schon seit ein paar Jahren immer wieder die LP "The Two and Only" von den Bellamy Brothers und verstehe bei 3 Liedern einfach den Text nicht richtig.
Könnte für mich jemand das mal anhören? Könnte MP3s mailen. Im Internet hab ich schon geschaut, die Lyrics zu diesen Liedern gibt es nicht.
Es handelt sich um:

2. Why did we die so young
3. Wet t-shirt

Ja für jemand, der mal in England oder Amerika war, wirds nicht so schwierig sein. Ich bin ja sonst auch nicht schlecht im Engisch, hab auch ein Diplom und so, aber ich verstehs einfach nicht... na ja, mal schauen, ob dus schaffst. Wäre toll.

okay. ich hab mich wohl etwas überschätzt.
scheint ziemlich genuschelt zu sein bzw. irgendein dialekt. ich war auch nie in usa. hab nur gymnasium 5. bis 13. klasse englisch und was man übers musikhören so lernt.
bis jetz habe ich ca. die hälfte mit etwas am anfang was ich nicht verstehe. ich habe aber auch kein bock mich jetzt selber zu stressen dass es ich schaffen muss.
ich denke mal spätestens morgen maile ich dir alles das was ich davon verstanden habe.
aber eins kann ich dir sagen, sie hatte ein nasses t-shirt an ;)

She was a see-through mama (hehe, einfach nur geraten, vielleicht stimmts)... and it added to the drama, what (?) she shook it all over the (vielleicht) ... ? ...

Danke vielmals. Das hat mir schon mal einige interessante Impulse gegeben.
Vor allem mit "painting the town" bist du glaube ich auf dem richtigen Dampfer. Und auch "trying to come clean" tönt verdächtig danach, als sei es richtig. Ich kann mir nur keinen Reim darauf machen, was "we took the love we had made" oder "she stood upon the world to see" oder "see-through-mama" bedeuten soll.

aber see-through-mama könnte ich mir eventuell vom durchsichtigen t-shirt herleiten
auch wenn sich dieser begriss wirklich etwas seltsam anhört..
