Auf den verschiedenen CDs findet man ja immer wieder FreeWare. Jetzt hab ich mal PegasusMail probiert, ein Freeware-Mailprogramm. Da ich das Proggi zuhause ganz nützlich fand wollte ich es auc in der Firma verwenden um dort meine privaten Mails über GMX abrufen zu können.
Was zuhause problemlos klappt, funktioniert innerhalb des Novel--Netzwerkes gar nicht. PM kann keinerlei Mail senden oder empfangen, obwohl über da Netzwerk eine Internet-Verbindung besteht. Mit StarOffice konnte ich problemlos auf meinen GMX-Account zugreifen, irgendwie geht das also.
Die Frage: Wo kann man in PegasusMail etwas einstellen? Die angaben in der Netzwerk-Konfigurationen in PM hab ich gecheckt... die sind in Ordnung... Hier die Fehlermeldung:
Pegasus Mail cannot connect to the host you have specified (pop.gmx.net).
Make sure that your TCP/IP network driver is properly installed and configured, and that you have entered the correct host details in your Network Configuration Dialog. You should also confirm with the manager of the host machine that it is actually running a server for the protocol you were trying to use (POP3 if receiving mail or SMTP if sending it).
Note: some Windows Sockets implementations handle requests for address resolution in non-standard ways; if everything else appears to be correct and you have entered the host's name in domain name format, try entering it as a dotted IP address instead, or vice- versa.
Kann es sein das ich nicht den Domain-Namen angeben muß sondern eine IP-Adresse? Die hab ich für GMX aber nicht...
