Yes it is an mSata if you look at the ram from underneath with the panel off just to the right of it is a small 1/2"x1/2" square cutout, it would be right between the RAM and the SDCARD reader slot, You will see a small white connector and right above it in that window a black one, if you look just above that 1/2" square you will see a little slot where the bottom panel slides into, if you look in that slot to the right in white letters is SSD, you can also see the keyway in the black connector there where the mSata half card goes in. You need to remove the entire bottom panel to access it. The black slot has a number printed on it 1436.

There’s no M.2 slot from what I can tell (like on the G551), but there is a half-sized mSATA connector used for the caching SSD present on our configuration. However, in order to get to it, you’ll have to take apart the entire plastic belly, which is not an easy task.

Janz jenau laufen da nur msata half size SSDs und never ever M.2 SSDs.
Mit verlötet habe Ich mich geirrt (es gibt viele Kisten wo das so ist und da halt nicht), kommt aber praktisch aufs gleiche raus!
Neue mSATA SSDs gibts schon sehr lange nicht mehr oder nur zu Mondpreisen und lahm sind die auch noch, der Standard ist halt schon sehr lange mausetot...
Dazu kommt da der nicht so wirklich kleine Aufwand beim Tausch, verglichen mit den anderen Optionen.
Nicht nur Ich würde da nie und nimmer ne mSATA SSD einbauen.
