Hope this is not coming to late for you, but I did several experiments with the NX 6710b for a client. First of all compatibility mode for all downloaded drivers: Just download all the essential Windows 7 (Seven) drivers for the NX6710b, then do not install directly after you decompress the the files to the (C:\SW Setup) folder. --Do not install click cancel https://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/swdHome/?lang=en&cc=us&sp4ts.oid=3356635 Secondly in folder options sort group all files by type to see each exe. for all the drivers decompressed per all Windows 7 downloads. Right click each exe. to campatibility mode for Windows 7 (Seven) this will make them function better in Windows 8 (Eight). --The new operating system Not all programs for the laptop work for Windows 8 such as HP Protect Tools, so you will have to download HP Client Security Version 8.3.3.1786 which is working on all tested NX 6710b.
