Hallo zusammen!
VideoLAN and the VLC development team present VLC 1.1.11, a security release with some other improvements. The release was necessary due to two security issues in the real and avi demuxers. It includes the following changes:
Fixed buffer overflows in the RealMedia demuxer (CVE-2011-2587) and the AVI one (CVE-2011-2588).
Mac OS X: Resolved conflict between iTunes and VLC with regard to Media Key handling
Fixed scrolling direction if the input device's signal is inverted
Updated Auhal audio output to the latest API
Fixed images disappearing issue on the interface
Reduced installation size by up to 30 MB
Improved support for cover art embedded in mp4 and wma files
Fixed AVI muxer so the generated files are readable on other players
Updated codecs
Updated Slovak, Lithunanian, Russian, Brazillian Portuguese and Serbian translations
For details on the security content of this update, see VideoLAN-SA-1105 and VideoLAN-SA-1106.
