Hallo!
Ich habe ein grosses Problem mit dem Armada 4220T.
Hier ist ein Bootpasswort gesetzt, welches ich jedoch nicht kenne, sodass ich es gerne entfernen möchte.
Nach der Methode, die im Handbuch beschrieben ist, funktioniert es aber mal gar nicht !
Hier die Anleitung, die ich befolgt habe:
The power-on password prevents use of the computer until the password is entered. The
setup password prevents unauthorized changes to Computer Setup. To clear the
passwords, you must remove all power from the system board. If you do not know the
passwords, use the following procedure to clear the password:
1. Remove all battery packs from the battery bay and DualBay, if applicable.
2. Disconnect the AC power.
2. Remove the real time clock battery.
4. Wait five minutes.
5. Reconnect the AC power.
6. Restart the computer. During the Power-On Self Test (POST), a "162 System
Options not Set" message appears. (See Section 2.4 for additional POST error
messages).
7. Shut down the computer, then turn off the power again.
8. Replace the real time clock battery.
9. Install the battery pack(s).
10. Proceed with the troubleshooting procedures.
Diese Batterie habe ich auch schon eine Nacht entfernt, aber das bringt\'s nicht.
Auch das entfernen von der Festplatte hat keine Veränderung ergeben (da Compaq-Notebooks ja angeblich teilweise den BIOS auf der Festplatte auslagern)
Selstamerweise hat er nach mehreren Startversuchen (beim durchprobieren der Masterpasswörter) gebootet.
Mit dem Debug-Befehl hab ich dann probiert, das Passwort zu entfernen
(-o 70 17 / 71 17 usw...), kein Erfolg !
Aufgeschraubt und auf dem Board geschaut, ob Jumper "CMOS Reset" oder so vorhanden ist, aber auch nix gefunden...
Mit der erstellten Compaq-BIOSUpgradeDisk hab\' ich erstmal das BIOS geflasht in der Hoffnung, erstmal ein sauberen Reset zu bekommen.
Aber nix!
Das witzige ist, dass ich für die neue BIOS-Version auch kein MasterPasswort finden konnte :-)
Hat von euch schon irgendwie das Problem lösen können oder hat die offizielle Routine bei irgendwem geklappt ?
