Gericom Webengine tot nach Bios Flash...

Hallo zusammen,


Ich habe versucht mein Gericom Webengine Notebook zu updaten von 1.03 auf 1.12 (habe ROM von der offiziellen Uniwill Seite)


nach ERFOLGREICHEM (das hat zumindest das Tool vom Hersteller behauptet) BIOS Flash musste ich die Kiste abwürgen (mittels Batterie herausnehmen).


Tja, der Schreck sitzt mir immer noch im Nacken, denn als ich das Notebook wieder anschalten wollte, passierte nichts, nada....stille, keine lichter, keine töne....nix.


Wie kann ich das Ding retten? Was habe ich falsch gemacht?

Vom Webgine gibt's verschiedene Uniwill Modelle:

Vom Webgine-340s8-345s8 gibt's auch nochmal 2 Versionen, mit und OHNE tv out!

Du solltest die richtige Biosdatei runterladen (oder das gespeicherte alte Bios) und auf eine DOS-Boodiskette kopieren.

Dann dieses machen, wenn du da ein AMI Bios hast:

Power down the system.
Copy the latest ROM file from the appropriate and latest BIOS diskette onto a bootable diskette.
Rename the ROM file to AMIBIOS.ROM (alternativ NEWBIOS.ROM), and insert the diskette in the notebook.
Attach an external keyboard.
Press and hold the Ctrl + Home keys.
Power up the system and continue to hold Ctrl + Home.
There will be no video, this is normal.
Wait until you hear diskette activity and release Ctrl + Home keys.
System will beep at the end of bootblock and the system will reboot.
The system should boot normally now. (i.e.. press F1 to set CMOS defaults)
Next power down you can remove the external keyboard.

Das Update war Hundert-Prozentig von Gericom. Nach en paar Monaten haben Sie ... painy
