Q: How to distinguish the "RIGHT" model name for MiTAC notebook before download the driver or BIOS?
A: For Mitac Notebook, on the back of Notebook it'll show only "general model name", not "complete" model name.
Sometime you have to download the driver or BIOS, you have to know your "right" model name. For example, 6120N, on the back of NB, it shows 6120 only.
Pls refer to the instruction hereunder.
For 20 series (6020, 6020+, 6120N, 7020, xx20), 7521
Open the cover of notebook and lift up the long-thin shape cover(LED cover) on the top of keyboard. You could see a label over there, showing like 6120N/****/****/**** ; Before first "/", it's your right model name, this example is 6120N.
For 33 series (6033, 6133XN, 7233, xx33)
Place the notebook bottom up, take away the battery then you could find a label in the housing of battery.
The label is such as 6133XN/****/****/**** ; The word before first "/" is your model name, this example is 6133XN.
Remove the battery (instructions in user manual).
On the underside of the notebook in the battery bay you should find a sticker label in this format :-
MTC TN8A123456
5033HX/TL-001-M/UK-3
R01-7E-1.13 X811087
The model is designated by the character after 5033 on the second line (in this case 'H').
Read this character and compare it to the model reference table below...
