ich bin am Ende!
Ich habe mir vor ca. 3 Wochen das Gericom Blockbuster 2440 XL Notebook gekauft. In einem Internetforum wurde mir das BIOS zu updaten. Man hat mir aber eine total falsche Version empfolen. Ich habe das leider nicht bemerkt und das ganze installiert.
Beim Start geht der Rechner zwar an, der Bildschirm bleibt aber schwarz
Was soll ich nun machen?? Muss ich den einschicken oder nach Mediamarkt bringen?? Oder gibt es noch eine andere Möglichkeit?? Wie teuer wirds???

Power down the system.
Copy the latest ROM file from the appropriate and latest BIOS diskette onto a bootable diskette. Rename the ROM file to NEWBIOS.ROM, and insert the diskette in the notebook.
Attach an external keyboard.
Press and hold the Ctrl + Home keys.
Power up the system and continue to hold Ctrl + Home.
There will be no video, this is normal.
Wait until you hear diskette activity and release Ctrl + Home keys.
System will beep at the end of bootblock and the system will reboot.
The system should boot normally now. (i.e.. press F1 to set CMOS defaults)
Next power down you can remove the external keyboard.
Leider läuft das nicht ohne Diskettenlaufwerk!
AFAIK unterstützt der Bootblock nur normale Diskettenlaufwerke.
Ich würde es trotzdem mal mit einem USB-Diskettenlaufwerk versuchen.
Alternative ist http://www.bios-repair.de , die haben wirklich was drauf und sind sehr preigünstig.
Sonst kann es teuer werden, wenn du die Wahrheit sagst.
