Erst einmal mea culpa, aber eine Anleitung steht auf der Lexmark-Seite, die ich aber dort beim besten Willen nicht finden konnte..
Erst über eine Suchmaschine und den richtigen Kennwörtern (ohne RAW , Windows 2000, NT und Print Processor) habe ich diese Seite jetzt gefunden.

Das FAQ bezieht sich zunächst nur auf Win 98 Peer-to-peer Verbindungen und beinhaltet auch die Drucker vom Typ Lexmark 1000, 1100, 3200, 5000, 5700 Series, 7000 Series, oder Z51.
Das Prozedere sollte also bei den gleichen Druckern identisch sein:
Also RAW (egal welches sowohl auf dem Win 2000 Rechner (unter Print Processor (kein Winprint)) als auch unter Win 95 (Spool Einstellungen) einstellen!!
Nun das entscheidende:
2.Set up the Remote PC:
a.Double click on Network Neighborhood. The Network Neighborhood
icon is located on your Windows 95 desktop.
b.Locate the host PC (computer to which the printer is physically
attached) and double click on it. This will show you a listing of any
files or printers shared on the host PC.
c.Locate the printer in the new window and highlight it. You will
recognize the printer by the shared name you gave it in step 1-c.
Highlight the printer by clicking on it once.
d.On the main menu in Network Neighborhood, click on File and then
Capture Printer Port.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! e.Here you will select an LPT port higher than LPT1 for your printer to
print to. You want to select an LPT number that is not already in
use on your system. Most systems already have an LPT1 port. A
selection of LPT2 or higher is preferable.
f.Click on OK and close out all remaining Network Neighborhood
windows.
g.Go to Start, Settings, Printers.
h.Right-click on the Lexmark Colorfine icon and select Properties. Go
to the Details tab.

chose in step 2-e.
j.Click on OK and close out the Printers Window.
Notes:
The self-test page from the Lexmark 1000, 1100, 3200, 5000, 5700 Series,
7000, or Z51 Series driver properties may not function on remote
workstations. This should not affect printing from Windows 95 applications.
Printing from MS-Dos based applications in not supported on remote
workstations.
Control Program functions will be limited on remote workstations. All
control program functions should be executed from the host PC.
As bi-directional communications will not be active on the remote
workstations, a communication error may be displayed at all remote
locations. This should not inhibit printing from the remote workstations.
If you have a situation where the local PC prints fine, but the remote PC
prints doubled or misaligned characters, it is likely that the cartridge
alignment on the remote station is not set up correctly. In this instance,
you should copy the alignment information from the following section of the
WIN.INI of the local workstation and place it in the same section of the
WIN.INI of the remote workstation. The following is a sample of how the
alignment information might look for the Lexmark 7000 (the 3200, 5000,
5700, 7200 or Z51 would also appear similarly):

Also dem Drucker virtuell einen freien LPT-Port (bei mir LPT") zuweisen war das zu lösende Rätsel. Beachtet, dass kein Testdruck oder sonstige Justage bei dem entfernten Rechner möglich ist, er druckt aber trotzdem!
