Hi Leuts,
ich hab win2k draufgemacht und hab nen Primax Colorado Direct 9600 Scanner, der jetzt nciht mehr läuft. Wenn ich die zugehörige Software starten will, kommt die Meldung "Scanner not found".

Wy do I get the error: "Scanner not found"
A Make sure that the parallel port mode in the BIOS is set to EPP. Make sure that the scan arm, scan TL light is at the start position close to the green button. If it is not, reset the scanner by unplugging it from the socket. If possible install the scanner on another computer to check if the scanner is not faulty. Maybe you need to add a second parallel port because of a possible incompatibility with the parallel port. Check if you have a printer that supports bi-directonal communication because it is not supported by the scanner. If you have such a printer, disable the bi-directonal communication in your printer's software. If you have a Lexmark printer disable MS-DOS support in the Options menu of the Lexmark utility. If you have an Epson printer enable the Epson Spool manager with Print Manager engaged. Make sure that if you have a printer attached via the scanner pass through, that the printer is tuned ON.
