Hallo Leute,
ich möchte Bios-Update an meinem Notebook gemacht (version EAM1.81 aus HP). Es gibt zwei Mäuseklavier auf dem Board, muss man da was machen. Kann jemand da helfen.
Was hats mit Bootblock an sich ?

Get the BIOS package onto the notebook.
Download the EA182.EXE file onto the target notebook.

Unpack the Web archive.
Execute it. For example: Run EA182.EXE.

Install the drivers.
Read the README.TXT file for instructions.

Ich würde nur von einer DOS-Bootdiskette flashen und der Bootblock des Bios wird beim Flashen nicht überschrieben.

Du must einfach eam182.exe runterladen und mit der eine Bootdiskette erstellen.
Dann:
1. Remove any PC Cards.
2. If the notebook is docked, undock it.
3. Connect the AC adapter to the notebook.
4. Insert the BIOS update disk in the floppy disk drive.
5. Restart the computer: Click Start, Shut Down, Restart.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions. This starts a process that takes approximately one minute. Once the update process begins, do not interrupt it.
7. When the process is completed, reset the computer by inserting a straightened paper clip into the system-off switch on the right side of the computer.
