ACPI ausschalten?

Während des hochfahrens kommt die Fehlermeldung:

The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact you system vendor or visit http://hardware-update.com for an updated BIOS. If you are unable to obtain an updated BIOS or the latest BIOS supplied by your Vendor is not ACPI comliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are promoted to install the storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation.

Mir kommt diese Meldung sehr merkwürdig vor, auch weil auf eine nicht besonders seriöse Internet Seite verwiesen wird.

Es wäre wichtig zu wissen, wann genau diese Meldung kommt: ich vermute mal, daß es nach dem Start von Windows passiert, da du offenbar aufgefordert werden sollst, irgendwelche Speichertreiber zu installieren (ich vermute mal, daß es "prompted" heißen soll, nicht "promoted"). Hast du aktuell irgendeine Software installiert, die Grund haben könnte, über dein Bios zu meckern? Falls ja, ist dies der Hauptverdächtige.
