Habe mir für mein Lucky Star Mainboard K7VAT einen neuen Prozessor gekauft(AMD Duron 1300). Nach dem Prozessorwechsel kam es ständig zu Abstürzen. Temperatur ist im normalen Bereich(ca. 38°C). Habe folgende BIOS Konfiguration: MAINBOARD UND BIOS Modell Modell Lucky Star Chipsatz VIA Apollo KT133 PCI Chipset Bussystem PCI Speicher 255.5 MB L2-Cache 64KB im CPU-Gehäuse Bios Bezeichnung Award Modular BIOS v6.00PGN Version 10/12/2000-8363-686B-6A6LML1CC-00 Datum 10/12/00 Copyright (C) 1984-2000, Award Software, Inc. Brauche ich evtl. ein neues BIOS und woher bekomme ich es. Lucky Star Seite gibt es nicht mehr.

Hmm, ich konnte im Netz folgendes recherchieren, nämlich daß das Board bis 1200'er Durons freigegeben ist. Inwiefern das nun damals das zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung maximale an Taktfrequenz war, oder ob das Board wirklich nicht mit dem 1300' er klarkommt, weiß ich leider nicht.
Möglich wäre es evtl schon. Das Board hat ja nur den KT133 Chipsatz, damals waren die CPUs noch weit unterhalb des 1300'er Durons. Vielleicht hat Luckystar da Bauteile verbaut, die den hohen Leistungsaufnahmen des 1300'er Durons (immerhin 3 Ampere mehr, als beim 1200'er) nicht gewachsen sind? Ist nur ne Vermutung....

Bios version SB2 for the Lucky Star K7VAT motherboard. This file includes the Award Flash V8.02 program. After downloading, double-click the file to start the extraction process. Accept the defaul unzip folder (ktvatsb2-flash) and click the UNZIP button. Files will be extracted to that folder. Now take a floppy disk and format it and be sure to place system boot files on it during format. Copy these files to it, then reboot pc with this disk in the drive. At the dos prompt type the name of the exe file to start the flash program. Follow on-screen prompts til finished.
