Hi,
I had the old problems with the VA502 that I could not set the 75 MHz
CPU bus
speed, and the Cyrix/IBM MII CPU was detected as Cyrix only.
After looking for a better bios I tried the last published file from
FIC, the
ajw1393dc4.awd which is for some revisions of the VA-502.
That file is from ftp://ftp.fic.com.tw/bios/motherboards/pentium
motherboards/va-502/int13/ajw1393dc4.awd and it mainly supports larger
HDs. So
information about that bios and how to flash may be found at FIC by
looking for
"int13" or "large HD".
I flashed with some ami-software from a second pc (but I do not
recommend
that/only at your own risk).
Now the 75MHz bus is stable, 83MHz is possible too, CPUs are supported
much
better, and I could post K6-2 @458MHz .
Good luck.
Kristof

Hi, additional information about the VA 502:
obviously there is no limitation to 64 MB SDRAM size.
I run 2 x 128MB SDRAM without problem.
