Flashtool.exe Bios-Update-Datei.bin
(Dateinamen angeben)

Fehlermeldung:
The programm file`s part number does not match with your System!
It is not Award Bios!

Download the latest BIOS update from our website
On the bottom of this page you can choose the category to which your mainboard belongs.
Select the correct category, for example `Pentium mainboards`, and browse through the selection which will appear on the left of the screen where you can choose your mainboard model.
After making the correct selection, information about the BIOS updates for that particular mainboard model`s different versions will show up on the right part of the screen.
Download the latest update for your mainboard`s model version by clicking on the blue datecode on the left of the BIOS description.
Use the correct FLASH utility
The FLASH utility has many versions. The latest versions are 5.33 and 5.35. It is recommended to use the version that came with your mainboard.
Only when you experience problems updating the BIOS or if you do not have the FLASH utility, then you can download one of the versions available on this website. For example, here you can find the latest version.
Disable the FLASH Bios Protection in the BIOS
Some Chaintech mainboard types (5TDM, 5TTM, 5SDA) have a
Flash BIOS Protection option in the BIOS Setup`s CHIPSET SETUP. Please disable this option before attempting to update the BIOS.
Unpack the BIOS Update file
The file you downloaded in step 2. of these BIOS update instructions,
is most likely an executable file. (extension .EXE)
You can only update your BIOS using a binary file ! (extension .BIN)
Unpack the file by typing its name on the command prompt followed by ENTER. The file should automatically unpack into the binary file.
Startup your system under DOS without any TSR`s installed
The FLASH utility can only work well when there are no memory drivers or other TSR`s installed. It is recommended to start up your system from a floppy disk which only has the system (for example COMMAND.COM) on it or (under Windows 95, DOS 6.22, etc.) press F4/5 to bypass the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS startup files.
Run the FLASH utility
Make sure the BIOS update binary file is in the same directory as the FLASH utility. Remember the exact name of the BIOS update file. (do not mixup `0`(zero) and o (letter `O`) ).
Then run the flash utility.
On the screen the program will ask for the File Name to Program.
Type in the exact name of the BIOS update binary file, including the extension .BIN, and press ENTER.
The program will now ask you if you want to save your current BIOS version. Choose ENTER and type a filename for your current BIOS version, for example OLDBIOS.BIN.
Press ENTER and the program will save the current BIOS data to your current path.
Now the program will ask you to confirm your wish to update the BIOS using the file you mentioned earlier. Press Y to confirm.
The updating process will now start.
A colored bar will appear on the screen which indicates the progress of the updating process.
Wait until the system finishes the updating process and the message: Please Power Off Or Reset System ! appears.
Now you can power off your system. Wait for a few seconds and turn on your system again. You should now be able to see the new BIOS datecode appearing in the left upper corner of the screen.
If you have any problems during or after the BIOS update process, such as error messages, devices that suddenly cannot be used anymore, etc. then please look at our BIOS Update Troubleshooting section for more information.
