Mein Cardreader wird im Kontrollzentrum angezeigt. Wie erhalte ich nun Zugriff auf das Speichermedium ?

Hi Protector,
ich würde sagen, einfach als scsi-Festplatte mounten.
Gib mal bitte die Auskünfte von:
tail -f /var/log/messages
tail -f /var/log/syslog
und
tail -f /var/log/kern.log an, wenn Du das Ding reinsteckst.

Dann sollte er Dir sagen, wie sich das Ding anmeldet. In der Regel werden solche "Wechseldatenträger" als scsi-Festplatten gemountet.
Wenn Du keine SCSI-FP in deinem System hast, probier mal:
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /irgendein_Verzeichnis

Hast Du das mal mit dem mounten probiert?

Aus deinem logfile kann ich nicht ersehen, was passiert, wenn Du das Dins anstöpselst (bzw. beim booten wird es ja schon drin sein).
Sieht nach dem letzten Eintrag aus. allerdings kann ich mit den Meldungen nicht viel anfangen.

Kannst Du das Ding mal ausstöpseln? Dann auf 3 verschiedenen Konsolen die 4 Befehle aus meinem ersten POsting eingeben, und dann das Ding anstöpseln? Und dann auch noch ne CF-Karte reinstecken?

Achja was sagt denn lspci -v über das Ding (Wenn es was sagt) oder cat /proc/scsi/scsi
