TNT/TNT2/GF Reference Windows 95/98-driver, version 6.01
The driver is slightly older than the version 5.32. Two new variables have appeared in the OpenGL section in the registry - TexStagingBufferSize and TexStagingBufferMultSize. The single NV11 (GeForce2 MX) line have transformed into three - NV11, NV11 DDR and NV11 GL.

First tests indicated that the Detonator 6 is in almost all cases slower than the 5.32.

Update: Many people report 2D glitching on this driver. So I don't recommend to use it.

5.32 macht ärger mit meiner TnT2, ne' Viper 770, Bluescreens, häufig erst gar keine Windowsboot Ich benutze zur Zeit den 5.16
Kann mit jemand einen 5.xx Treiber unter 5.3x empfehlen, oder ist das eh egal für eine olle TnT2?

Der 5.22 läuft ganz gut.Findet aber TV-out nicht !!

Unter TNT/TNT2 hatte ich gute Erfahrungen mit den 3er Treibern.
3.68 oder 3.76, beide ok ohne großen Unterschied.

Das hier hab ich eben gefunden:

The following is a quote from an nVidia employee:

"The 6.01 driver should not be out there. This was never to leave the building and this is currently being investigated how it got out there. The earliest rel6 driver to a select few OEMs is 6.09 and that is barely called Alpha. Bottom line is that 6.01 is NOT legit."


It seems that the 6.xx will have something really new! First "working" 5.xx was the 5.08, and it gave us FSAA.. What will the 6.xx give us? Maybe support for Palettized Textures in D3D (which NVIDIA promised a long time ago..)? Only time will tell.
