Wie kann mann das auf einem Mac-Mini Computer Instalieren ???? Habe keine ahnung.Bei Windows funktioniert das problemlos.

Hi Pedro,
kann es sein, dass Castella für Mac OS X gar nicht geeignet ist? In den Systemvoraussetzungen wird neben Windows ab 98 und Linux ab Kernel 2.4 nur Mac OS 9 erwähnt: http://www.yousmile.de/detail.html?produkt=Castella%20USB-Computer - ob damit gemeint ist "ab Mac OS 9, also auch Mac OS X" geht aus der Beschreibung nicht eindeutig hervor. Nach meiner Erfahrung werden aber Mac OS 9 und X wenn, dann immer separat erwähnt, weil OS X nicht einfach eine Weiterentwicklung von 9 darstellt, sondern eine Neu-Entwicklung.
Oder wolltest du auf dem Mac Windows-Anwendungen mit Hilfe von Castella laufen lassen? Das geht unter Mac OS X sowieso nicht, d.h. wenn überhaupt, dann müsstest du mit Hilfe von "Bootcamp" eine Windowspartition auf dem Mac starten. Hast du das bei dir so eingerichtet?

Im web ist leider nichts über das Gerät und dessen Funktinsweise zu finden. Deshalb kann man nur mutmaßen wie dieser Stick auf den unterschiedlichsten Betriebssystemen und Prozessorarchitekturen laufen soll. Java wäre zb eine Möglichkeit mit der es allerdings auch unter OS X laufen sollte.
Wie sieht das denn unter Windows aus? Bilder wären nett, denn wie gesagt man findet nichts...
Welche Prozesse laufen während der Stick angestöpselt ist oder läuft
Was beduetet "installieren", wo doch in der Beschreibung Ohne diese dort zu installieren. steht?

Ist die Konkurrenz zum U3 smart drive:

LaunchPad (persönliche Arbeitsumgebung) ist für das Teil die viel bessere und richtige Bezeichnung, ein USB-Computer ist das nämlich definitiv nicht!
Im Gegensatz zur U3 Technologie ist Castella (C2) ne offene Platform und läuft im Prinzip auf jedem PC, PDA oder Handy.
Sollte also im Prinzip auch da laufen!
Ob Castella sich gegen U3 von SanDisk aber durchsetzt halte Ich für sehr unwahrscheinlich.
Die Marktmacht von SanDisk und Microsoft spricht dagegen und StartKey kommt:

Genau das ist das nichts von dem ich sprach. Wie funktioniert das denn nun auf Windows, Linux, Mac OS und MacOS X, x86, PowerPC und eventuell noch m68K? Vielen dank übrigens für die Chinesisch sprachige PDF-Datei aber die hatte ich gestern schon.

Englisch muß man natürlich schon können.

Bei Castella ist es halt nur ne eigene grafische Oberfläche und nicht mit dem OS des Host Computer verbandelt.
Ne offene Platform halt!
Ist aber AFAIK ne Totgeburt, weil IOCELL allein ist und keinen anderen USB-Speicherhersteller mit ins Boot bekommt!
Außerdem ist Sandisk viel viel größer und steht bei U3 nicht allein.
Die Geschichte lehrt, daß sowas nur im Aus enden kann, egal wie gut die Technologie ist!
